We are excited and fortunate that our clientele has grown over the months since we have opened. I am sure you have noticed some new faces and veterinarians to assist Dr. Norm during our growing process. We appreciate your patience during this time.
We want you all to know and have a relationship with each employee that is on our staff. With this, we are excited to announce that we have added a permanent associate veterinarian to our team. What this means for you as a client, is the added benefits of more appointment time availabilities and less wait time on scheduling surgeries.
The Spencer Family, with our children Dylan and Makenzie. Not in the picture is our fur babies Hana, Sunny, Blu, and Jack. Dr. Norm and Christine have been married for over 13 years. Being a military family we have had the privilege to live all over the United States. But, it could not keep us away from coming back to Florida’s beautiful water and amazing beaches.
Dr. Norman Spencer has been in the veterinary field for over 15 years. Starting as a kennel assistant he found his love for veterinary medicine and continued on to vet school, where he attended Auburn University. War Eagle! Dr. Norm is a Veteran of the US Navy and Army with 10 years in the service. Dr. Norm is a nature enthusiast and avid outdoors man.
Dr. Peter Velotas grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. Growing up, he developed a curiosity about animals and science that would last a lifetime and lead to a profession as a veterinarian. He graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine (as did Dr. Norm). Dr. Pete's special interests in veterinary medicine include dermatology, ophthalmology, and cardiology, as well as diagnostic imaging, clinical pathology and cytology.
Dr. Pete and his wife, Stephanie, have four dogs: Sutton (Greyhound), Maggie (German Shorthaired Pointer), Sadie (Black Lab), Jase (Chihuahua). In his spare time he enjoys going to the beach, stand-up paddle boarding, golfing, gardening, cooking and cheering on the Auburn Tigers.
Miranda is our head technician and supervisor at Dr. Norms. She is from Panama City Beach, Fl. She lived in Jacksonville, Fl for 16 years and has a Biology Degree from University of North Florida. Miranda has been working with all species of animals for over 15 years. She also graduated from St. Petersburg College with an AS in Veterinary Technology. She has 4 beautiful furry children, Ginger, an American Brittany, her problem child, Libby, an English Springer Spaniel, Pepper is a Severe Macaw and her new addition...Ollie, French Bulldog, Rescue. Miranda loves to participate in running and bicycling events that support her community. Geaux Tigers!
Willie began his vet tech career in 2011 graduate of SPC Vet Tech program. He recently completed EMT school as well. Willie grew up in Apalachicola and lived in Tallahassee for 10 years before make PCB his permanent home. Growing up on the forgotten coast Willie enjoy's seafood, fishing, kayaking, spending time with family and travel. Willie has 2 dogs named Rocko and Chuy.
Jane is from Birmingham, AL where she worked in the medical field for many years. She and her husband Phillip moved to PCB in 2005, and have 2 Standard Poodles Rosey and Paisley. Jane has had a lifelong love of animals and joined Dr. Norm's staff in 2016.
Kaylee moved to Panama City Beach, FL in July of 2016 from Olive Branch, MS. She is currently attending Florida State University to receive a degree in Biological Sciences in hopes to one day attend Veterinary School. She enjoys going to the beach, hanging with her pups, and going on vacations - especially to Walt Disney World.
Judy is a Florida Native, growing up in West Palm Beach Florida. She attended University of Florida where she met her husband, Steve. After vacationing to the 30A area, it was made a permanent residence over 10 years ago. Judy’s love of animals brought her to Dr. Norm’s Animal Hospital. Judy and Steve have two dachshunds to spoil and love. Frequently they take in abandoned animals to foster or release back into the wild.
Lexi is our head kennel assistant who is also working as a technician assistant in our facility. She is going to school to complete prereq's to go to vet school.
